rvca wetsuit design

Ah happy bunny,
woke up this morn to an email from cooler to say i was one of the 5 finalists of their
LIMITED EDITION RVCA WETSUIT competition.
Unfortunately didn't win the gorgeous wetsuit but it was fun to do, and looking forward to experimenting with screen printing and drawing onto different materials like neoprene soon.

It was also picked by one of my favourite creative humans,  Miss Margaux Arramon-Tucoo, who also designed the ltd edition wetsuit. I have a shared love of inks and line work and symmetry  Go have a look at her blogs and travels , and her photographs and layerings are very beautiful.
here's what i submitted
and some work of miss margaux to admire below .
Happy Tuesday

letterfest

i have also been working recently with a local company called Letterfest whilst my friend is off for paternity leave as he welcomes his new egg to the world. Iv taken his place obsessively drawing buildings as architecturally accurate as possible with loose freehand style, which has caused me to go mildly insane as i try to get faster , eyes have been crossing but its slightly fun. If your thinking of a unique gift go have a look they create beautiful pieces for all occasions

Here are some examples of what iv been upto.

kooga tree

So recently i was contacted an old school friend Helena Hills to create an illustration for her interesting cat-furniture company called KOOGATREE.

it was a completely open brief with a super fast deadline which was fun, and was great working with the knowing that it would be re-printed into such an interesting product on a larger scale and i really enjoy seeing my work in different contexts. They have a great company ethos and an environmentally responsible attitude to creating a product that is local, sustainable and lovingly crafted, and all started from their own home. Browse their range , its christmas soon :D

'We are proud to use only British suppliers and premium quality materials. From the timber dried for years in Loch Lomond, to the fixings made by a local ironmonger to our biodegradable packaging, we ensure that every aspect of KoogaTree benefits the local economy and doesn't harm the environment.'

hunger magazine

The winter issue of 'HUNGER' is finally out it was waiting all glossy and unopened for me in the newsagents yesterday.
I recce'd for a week with RANKIN and assistants in the nooks of the local coastline and met his lovely family and lovely dogs, it was most fun.

So go out and pick up a copy its a rather beautiful and sexy collection of photographs and gives me a beaming summery smile.

surfers nose

oh nose drain
it appears no matter how smoothly i duckdive or how 'elegantly' i attempt to dismount after a wave, i seem to stash a litre of salt up behind my eyes, but i do kind of like the feeling of it escaping my brain 3 hours later , homage to the drain
